How to find a ring size
Updated 16 October 2026
UK ring sizes run alphabetically from A to Z, with half sizes in between. Most engagement rings fall between J and P.
The most reliable ways
- Borrow a ring that fits. Choose one worn on the same finger, and send us the inside diameter in millimetres, measured with a ruler across the widest point.
- Use a ring sizer. We post a free plastic sizer on request.
- Visit a jeweller. Any jeweller will size a finger for free.
Keeping it a surprise
Borrow a ring from their jewellery box for an evening, or ask a friend or family member to find out. If you cannot find out, we will make the ring in a common size and resize it afterwards for free.
Tips
- Fingers are larger in the evening and in warm weather. Measure at the end of the day.
- Wider bands fit tighter. For a band over 4 mm, go up half a size.
- Full eternity rings cannot be resized, so we confirm the size before making them.
