Audley Diamonds

Dealer's Notice

UK law requires every dealer in precious metals to display the British Hallmarking Council's Dealer's Notice. Ours is below.

[Official Dealer's Notice image to be inserted here, as supplied by a UK Assay Office.]

What the notice explains

Items described as gold, silver, platinum or palladium must be hallmarked by an independent UK assay office, above small exemption weights: 1 gram for gold and palladium, 0.5 grams for platinum and 7.78 grams for silver.

A UK hallmark shows who submitted the item (the sponsor's mark), its purity (the fineness mark, for example 750 for 18ct gold or 950 for platinum) and which assay office tested it.

Every Audley piece is hallmarked at a UK assay office before it reaches you. Read our guide to hallmarks.
